1540, apparent ELT blaring strongly on VHF/UHF Guard (121.5/243)

Signal faded by 520. Strongest at 405/522 interchange.

About what time was it? I had go off in the Lake Stevens area about mid afternoon I think it was between 3 and 4 PM last night

Yeah, I caught it at about 3:40PM on Saturday. Same timeframe.

Haven't seen any news of a craft going down, so am guessing an inadvertant activation.

At ground level, how far would one expect to hear an ELT going off? Hwy 520 to Lake Stevens is a pretty good distance.
