Does anyone else pick up Eastern WA freqs one the West side?
I seem to pick up some WSP from East. I also get Tri Cities NOAA and Astoria Coast Guard on marine 16. I'm in Pierce co using an icom and 5/8.
On 154.770 I never know who I'm getting, one of the 3 areas.

E-burg + PA+ Kelso area on the same freq. (154.770).
How about 146.940 from Yak?
Or 154.920? Yak Area?

I'm in Pierce Co. and picking up 154.740 (WSP Tacoma East) what sounds like Yakima City.
And 154.920 (WSP Oly is Yakima)
Picking them both, and 154.770.
Again, this is with a 5/8 mag mount on the the roof.

I dont hear anything from Yakima, their towers are not close enough to the cascade crest, but once again I do hear E'Burg WSP as the units say "Cle Elum" or "Ellensburg"

Location: South King County or the beach, usually one or the other.
To the best of my recollection Ellensburg WSP is actually broadcast from WSP in Union Gap, just outside of Yakima on I-84 as your headed to Sunnyside and Prosser.

Isn't the tower on Indian John hill, there to the west of E-burg? That's the site you see when you're driving EB90 after the rest area, just past Cle Elum IIRC.

I think Hyak or Stampede is the closest tower to the west

Kittitas Co. is easy to hear at my location here in Edmonds on 155.655, unless Everett WSP is talking.
