Does anyone know when a planned switchover will occur for WPRI280 or will it , did I read properly that the license is set to expire this year ?

I don't know what you mean by switch over. As far as the Whatcom County Fire Service switching to a full 800mhz system anytime in the near future it not going to happen because of the lack of funds. The City of Bellingham and Fire District 8 are currently the only departments using 800Mhz. Currently they are only using the system for Admin. chit chat to talk around the dispatchers in "Prospect" and the guys in the field working on the big red trucks. Hope this answered your question.
