Hi Mike,
What I'm about to say is not 'fullness' of what's happening from the SERS management team, but only from a listener's perspective. The South county agencies are on the trunking system. By on, I mean cars and portables are now the trunked radios. A key manager said they may keep the VHF in simulcast mode for about six months. Where I live -- Everett -- the trunker program is showing most, if not all, Everett PD cars and portables are now trunking radios because every radio shows up with a unique ID number. I think EFD may be rolling out soon. Marysville is definitely on the system. I've heard a number of comments from officers using portables about how much better the 800-meg system can hear them than the legacy VHF system, especially when they are in buildings. For Everett, I think EPD had 3, maybe 4 channels before and how they have at least nine.

From a 'scannerist' perspective, it would be neat if they re-broadcast every agency in the county on the 800 system even though the various agencies not now on the 800 system aren't actually yet using the 800-meg radios.

I forgot to add that you can see the SERS talkgroup list on this BBS, or try this URL

http://interceptradio.com/s.php?sfreq=3 ... 1&ipl=7F32

It's probably too long on its wraparound so you may have to manually find the web page. Click on Snohomish county and then you should see the talkgroups page as the next link
