here's a new contraption on a utility pole, it's near the corner of 196th St SW and 58th Pl W.

I snapped a picture of it and stuck it on my website http://free.time.tripod.com/IMG_1935.JPG.

it's 2 things hanging out over lane 1 of west bound traffic. one, with the black cable is a yagi...

and the one with the white cable.. i have no clue what that is.

this pole is also sporting a camera higher up... if i recall corectly this camera went in a few months LATER then the rest.. perhaps it was an after thought and wireless was a better alternative then digging the road way back up?

any clues?

I would assume the other cable is for power.

power to the actual camera.

the traffic cams are not wireless.

the camera is wired and is for traffic light control. the antenna is for 913MHz receiver that looks for approaching busses, to move the bus faster thru the intersection.

took a while.
