I have fired up an old BC895 trunker and the old talk group for Auburn Police doesn't work. I get Kent at 37136 with lots of chatter but Auburn at 36944, 36976, & 37008 are all dead. The talkgroup database doesn't show any changes. Does anyone else hear Auburn on 36944? Thanks in advance. BJ

The 895 doesn't handle patches between
talkgroups well. Auburn is usually patched to
Algona/Pacific, so the id numbers you have
won't be the ones that show on the display. It
could show the Auburn numbers+3, or the
other talkgroup+3 (36851??).

Try going into 'search' mode to find them for
certain, then program those id's.

You can program the system as Type I to get
rid of the status bits (the +3 part), but it won't
necessarily find the patch if you don't have both
base talkgroups programmed.
