I'm speaking of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, a 110-square mile park in western North Dakota.

Johnny George mountain is near Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, a 130-mile lake and adjoining areas in eastern Washington.

Another Western Area Power Administration freq today; 171.8125 (NAC $333). Line patrol aircraft calling "Watertown North" as they went from Havre (MT), to Glendive, Sidney, Wolf Point, Williston (ND), then ended up back at Havre. Working on finding the input.

One of the best things about being out here has to be the small-town atmosphere of the radio traffic. Observe:

School bus driver: "yeah, my left front tire has a slow leak; I'm gonna bring it back to the shop and grab a new bus that I'll park at my house tonight"
Dispatcher: Copy, grab bus number xx.
Driver: Is it warmed up and ready?
Dispatcher: ...Jeez, I'll go and start it for ya.
Driver: Cool, thanks.
Unknown roads crew person: Jeez, can ya come plow some of this snow for me?
Unknown deputy: And make a decent pot of coffee for us?
Unknown, possibly roads person: You still coming over tonight to help me move that cabinet?
Dispatcher: No, no and yeah, provided I can eat dinner with y'all.
Deputy: For a free dinner, I'll help.
Driver: Can you guys shut up? Charlie left his backpack on the bus, so after I park this bus, I'm going to meet his mom at the Cenex station and give it to her; she texted me and said she'll be there in about 10 minutes.
Dispatcher: Ok, I'm going on break, I'll ride over with you, I need to buy some stuff.
Driver: OK.

Etc...

A new and strange one:

163.000 (CSQ)- repeats sheriff and city PD, also FD and EMS. I thought at first maybe this was some sort of odd mixing of images, but I noticed that the P25 traffic for Watford City PD comes across it in analog. I'm thinking maybe someone has setup a repeater for their base scanner, or possibly wireless headsets from the dispatch center? Oddly, while the FD/EMS traffic from 154.115 comes through this channel, the roads, public works and school buses from that same freq do not. Will investigate further if/as time allows.

463.5125 (77.0)- 4 Bears Casino near New Town, ND. Simplex, seems like slots, security and housekeeping share this freq.

Scratch the 154.935 input for Watford City PD/FD/EMS. Either that was an image, RF over-saturation or they just changed, but the proper input to 151.460 (N788) is 151.070 (N788).
