Here is the prediction for the storm that was supposed to occur last night that never happened.

I'll bet this guy doesn't show his face at work tomorrow!

But having a family member who has done work for FEMA, I was curious what exactly the requirements for becoming a “FEMA-certified disaster PIO” are. Turns out it’s an online course that takes about 2.5 hours from start to finish.

Love that comment.

I have a family member that's an attorney. I was curious what exactly the requirements for becoming a professional football player are. Turns out it's an online course that takes about 90 minutes from start to finish...But the commenter has a family member who has done work for FEMA- must be truth.

2.5 hours? I guess that two-day Basic PIO course and four-day Advanced PIO course I took were all doing it wrong.

I'd love to know what class certifies "Disaster PIOs"...

Ill post pictures later but a brand new concrete deck bridge on the Mt Jupiter trail was picked up and moved by rushing water sometime Friday. Our crews are still trying to get up to the radio site to deal with an outage.

I had to cut through exactly one tree getting up to Buck mt. over the weekend.

Found this after dark. Crews got up there today and found the site smoked by lightning.

Previous owner had no concept of how to properly ground a site.
