It's a text and/or email notification from SFD CAD. Tried it out for a week or so with the freebie alerts for the Structure Fire category. Seemed like I was getting the alerts on an average of 7 minutes after the initial dispatches.

So, I decided to try the pay service. Set it up with the contact (Terry) for all major incidents citywide as well as a radius of .25 miles around a place of interest to me, and wow. Impressive.

As an example, I got SFD's alert to their current working house fire as the Locution system was just finishing rambling it out...

Pros:
-Excellent customer service (Terry did a lot of the work for my account from a beach in Cape Cod)
-Timely alerts
-You can cut through the tripe and only get what you want.

Cons:
-I hate PayPal, but oh well.
-You can set it to receive alerts between certain times, but I didn't bother...So I sometimes get them at 0300 or some other godawful hour. Ah well, it's still nice to see what was happening. I guess that's not really a con, more my fault. I just needed something in this category.

I had reason to contact Terry again yesterday regarding some additional call types to be sent and a radius change, and the response was nearly immediate- again, excellent service and, IMHO, value. The owner is also a brother F/F so he understood exactly what I wanted without a lengthy email exchange.

I'd say it was a port of https://github.com/codebutler/seattle911-twitter but it looks like it's written in .NET
