Look into the Christopher Commission sometime. They read through roughly 6 million MDT messages from the King incident time period and back 6 months. They found a whopping total of 44 messages that indicated some sort of racial overtones, and, when those 44 were examined, only 12 were found to contain truly racist material...but 10 of those were from the same officer.
