Saw two different vans in Seattle today (actually it could have been the same van). New vans are Mercedes Sprinters and the exterior graphics are much different. The caduceus is much more prominent on the rear, and "AMR" doesn't jump out so much. I have to imagine working in the back of a Sprinter is much nicer.

Those are the TramaHawk models that use the Sprinter 3500 body; word down here in Portland from my sources (no, not the source your thinking of icom) is that AMR bought some of those models to evaluate long term replacement of the Ford E350-based TramaHawk units. Ford is discontinuing the E-series platform and replacing it with the Transit (dubbed the T-series); its undecided if there is going to be bodies for emergency vehicles yet.

I got in trouble once for calling them "buses." They wish to be referred to as "ambulances."

Down here in Oregon, Clackamas County has a few of the Sprinters in the new paint job....but even the old E350 box units are slowly getting the new wraps. I wonder what they will do with the RAT units....

I have the Freightliner Sprinter model for work, high roof, with the 3.0 V6 "bluetec" diesel, and it can move across the prairie:
