Hello! First time posting here, starting with a question on the RS PRO-95 hand held scanner. I purchased this radio at a local resale shop. It came with the box, rubber duckie and charger. But no instruction manual. Didn't have any problems finding and down loading a manual but haven't figured out a couple of features. It came with a number of channels already programed. 30 out of a possible 1000 and a number of them have text at the bottom the the screen (fourth line). Some of them have " MOT : none" or "MOT: CNTRL" or "MKE: TRUNK#0" and a few others. I assume that the MKE stands for MILWAUKEE (near by city). My question is how to PROGRAM text on this (the fourth) line? Putting it into "PGM" mode I can enter TEXT into the THIRD line but the fourth line has me stumped. I know it can be done since the previous owner has a number of entries there. I've browsed the manual but haven't seen any mention of the fourth line. Joe |

Sounds like it's either a talkgroup tag or a bank tag. Skimming through this I'm not sure if the 95 does bank tags. http://marksscanners.com/95/95.shtml#text_tagging |
