RCW 18.73 Emergency medical care and transportation services

RCW 43.70.110 License fees — Costs — Other charges — Waiver
Quote:
After June 30, 1995, municipal corporations providing emergency medical care and transportation services pursuant to chapter 18.73 RCW shall be exempt from such fees, provided that such other emergency services shall only be charged for their pro rata share of the cost of licensure and inspection, if appropriate. The secretary may waive the fees when, in the discretion of the secretary, the fees would not be in the best interest of public health and safety, or when the fees would be to the financial disadvantage of the state.

It is my opinion that the fees would NOT be in the best interst of the citizens and tourists to Washington State.

Over here, they charge for a 'response', unless you pay up front.

Plus, the majority of the FF volunteers have "rookie-i-tess', meaning they think the Bible was written about them.
Anti USFS/ Gov't, LE.

Apparently, the funding the DOH received to cover this was cut in the last budget. I don't think the bill will get out of committee but one never knows. Each district could create higher user fees and the like or add it to the next levy. In this day and age, some districts don't even charge for a burn permit. This is an old document but probably gives an idea of how junior taxing districts are limited: http://www.usfa.fema.gov/pdf/efop/efo29453.pdf
