I still remember feeling the thud of the shock waves over 100 miles away.

Funny thing about your photo, it could almost be confused for a wood gasifier.

The SP0360 must of been their reserve fleet numbering before they used the 7xxx. Maybe 0360 is one of the Monroe I....

I remember hearing the boom clear up here and seeing it make the curtain in the bedroom move from the shock wave.

Turned up the scanner and it took about 45 minutes for the cause of the blast to be identified. :chaingun:

The guy who lived across the street from me was a WSP trooper who had just got a new car about a month before.

He was sent down there and for years after that he had a beanbag ashtray on his dash that when you banged it on the dash
a cloud of St Helen's ash would come out of it. :puke:

My favorite is seeing the old b-roll footage of WSP snow plows out in May plowing away the ash.
