Post subject: | New Yakima FPD 5 / City of Grandview Engine |
:from ycfd5's website: The Grandview Fire Department and Yakima County Fire District #5 recently took delivery of a new E-One fire engine. The engine will be placed into service within the next week and serve both the city and county as engine 214. Like several other jointly purchased engines within the district, Grandview and YCFD#5 were able split the costs of purchasing the engine which reduces the cost for both departments and makes good financial sense in the use of our citizens tax dollars. The new engine is a 2010 E-One on an International Chassis. The fire engine has seating for five firefighters, carries 1200 gallons of water, and can pump 1750 gallons of water per minute. The county’s old engine 214 will soon be replacing Parker Station #5’s fire engine. Currently both engines are at the district’s maintenance facility in Zillah being equipped for service. If you’re anxious to take a look at the engine for yourself, feel free to stop by the shop to check it out before it’s put into service at Station 14. Always remember it is just a big red fire truck that carries our tools but it's our volunteers that put out fires and saves lives. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
