The King County Boundary Review Board last night, gave the go ahead in the next step of Skyway residents to annex into the City of Renton, including King County Fire District 20. The final approval is expected on July 8, 2010, with the expected election in November of 2011 and the earliest date of July 1, 2012. This of course, depends on the approval of the City of Renton Council approval. |

Interesting... Does Renton have a volunteer program? In our last EMT class we had a couple guys from district 20 go through with us and they indicated that much of the staffing there is done by volunteers. |

I'm not sure if Renton has any volunteers. I know District 25 & 40, in which Renton has taken over had volunteers, but not sure if that has since been disbanded. Pretty interesting to find out as there are several departments that have eliminated there volunteer programs in the area.......... |

Renton does not have any volunteers. |
