An article in the Bellingham Herald today entitled " Bellingham Police search for armed robbery suspect ".

A readers comment to the story:

" I'm calling the ASCPA on the Herald because they said the word "black" when describing the robber's clothes. That's racist!

Also, by omitting the race of the robber, the Herald is inferring that the man is black. If the robber was white or brown, the article would state it. That's racist!"

Wouldn't calling an animal cruelty organization over the word "black" be racist in itself ?
