Just because it made me laugh...

SPD South:

Good:

Intoxicated complainant was performing a neck tattoo on a female who was under the influence of narcotics (in an alleyway) when another male arrived and convinced the female to steal the complainant's backpack.

Better:

Female and second male have mutual restraining orders...against each other.

Best:

The complainant does not have any restraining orders, just multiple arrest warrants.

Bonus- Officer was in the middle of detaining the two suspects when a random person came running up to him, asking for medical aid for blood pressure issues. He also appeared to be bleeding from the head.

Not nearly as good was the intoxicated (GASP!) female who jumped the counter at a gas station and backed the clerk into a corner by screaming and spitting at him, all the while stuffing cartons of cigarettes into her purse...Which was already full of alcohol she'd just stolen.

Please folks, write to your Congressional representatives and urge them to vote "YES" on Bill 6969-007, which would require all Toyota Prius drivers to clearly display this sticker:

It's for the children!

I need a new dashcam. Was driving NB 5 this morning at about Corson/Michigan (0450 or so) when what to my wondering eyes should appear but a Toyota Prius, in the number 2 lane...Doing 45mph.

Average traffic speed was nearly 70. Some poor schmoe in a KCDOT van nearly rear-ended her when she decided that impeding traffic in the #2 lane was boring her and jumped into the #3 lane without signaling.

Amusing traffic this morning:

SPD South: assault with a baseball bat, related to a road rage incident. Complaint is the suspect who stated a pedestrian slapped his car while he was stopped, blocking a crosswalk, further states he then chased the pedestrian down with a baseball bat. Complainant is requesting officers contact him.

There would be NO way to handle that call with a straight face.

Wil's Thought for the Day:

Why the obssession over the word "guilt"?

KOMO forecasters told us last week to enjoy the sunshine "guilt-free", since this week would be (and has been) rainy.

Snack food makers market their products as "Guilt Free!" since they're low fat, or something.

I simply don't get it. Who the hell are these self-loathing, guilt-ridden morons this schlock is aimed at?

UWPD has requested SPD assistance for a crowd of approximately 500 who are throwing snowballs at passing cars on University Way, and have drug couches into the street and lit them on fire.

Last update stated it appears as though the crowd has begun breaking into residences "looking for more couches".

SPD South: William-3 got a call for an occupied burg in progress.

3W3: "We're headed back to the precinct at about 2 miles an hour because our chains are broken". :bowrofl:

SPD South:

3O02- FYI there was just a car into a light pole across from the precinct...Ah, maybe send another unit, the driver just jumped out and ran away into Van Assalt Park. No clothing description, but they were screaming in pain.

ETA- officers with the driver, requesting a DRE as the driver appears under the influence of marijuana.

ETAx2- Appears there were 6 people in the car, officers have found one female with a broken arm and possible concussion, but the driver is refusing to say where the other injured occupants are.

Another victim just found with internal injuries and a severe head wound. Driver still doesn't want to talk. With friends like that, who needs enemies?
