Why don't you simply use your 500?

Because scanners are receive-only?

Duh, but why do you wanna talk to truck drivers?
And how would an app work? I doubt the architecture is present to Tx on 11 meter.

CB Radio Chat by Plugmind.

I've only had it for about 24 hours, but I've noticed at certain times of the day the Aussies and Brits seem to overrun it. Channel 7 is a ghetto, and 19 seems to mostly have Texans on it. You can adjust how much you hear by dialing the dx settings.

It was cool talking to some dudes in the Australian outback last night, but I ended up turning the distance down from worldwide to 600 miles...one can take only so many dingo jokes.

Um, it's an app. For phones.

No truckers; not really on 11m.

Just because it's called CB doesn't mean it is. Think of the old school AOL chatrooms. It's like those, but voice...VOIP.

Yep, it's Thursday and I've already worked 46 hours, on track for 90 by Sunday.

But you take 10 seconds to download an app and play with it on and off over the course of a 26-hour shift, and you need a job.

Don't we have a rolling eyes smiley dude somewhere?

I just installed that app but haven't used it yet. Do you need a "Handle" and if so what is yours? Comeon "BEEP"!!!

The Wil and Jim consensus seems to be "neat toy, but not overly useful". WAY to long a delay with 2 users. It's not much better when you have a lot of people on, but it can be funny.

Dingo Hobie.
