 Post subject: AM/FM antenna suggestion

Got tired ruining the tune box when I go camping so I bought myself a rugged Bosch jobsite radio.
I like it so far but the AM/FM reception is poor so I'm looking for some suggestions on possible replacements.
Below is a picture of the radio and antenna in the stored position. It's the normal antenna connection where it slides between a slot and is secured using a small screw.

I would really like to find another rubber antenna of better quality that would somewhere would drop in place. But I suspect that will be hard to find.

You might try using an alligator clip on the metal part of the antenna and attaching a wire to it.
