There are many reasons why we have em. because there are ham radio, SWR listeners.

WWV has a male voice and WWVH has a female voice.
One very important use for time standards is in navigation. Navigation by dead reckoning demands an accurate chronometer. Chronometers can be set using time information. "But, but, but... What about GPS?" GPS has outages and a hand held GPS might go overboard. Good navigation is a must. Miss Hawaii by a few miles and you will have to go to Alaska to hit land...
There are more than just WWV and WWVH. JJY is on the same freqs. but hosted by Japan. Many other governments host a time standard and on other than 2.5, 5, 10, and 15 mHz.
