Radio Shack carries this same radio for the same price if you want to look at one. :D

It should be arriving Monday or Tuesday.
I'm mostly interested in AM at night.
The '2' radio dropped the TV sound and added 2-meter.
I didn't need 2-meter 'cuz I already have that covered.
So I went with SW.

Ditto on the review.

See if you can hear KFBK 1530 (Sacramento) and KFI 640 (Los Angeles). There is also KGO 810 however some people find their programming offensive. Keep in mind those radios have a long ferrite which is very directional so rotate the radio as needed. The ferrite might even outperform a longwire.

Also try KNX 1070. I can get it pretty clearly in between Puyallup and Auburn on the 167...

It's on my desk.
So far the SW is picking up just off the stock rod antenna.
It has the twin ferrite for AM.
I'll playing with it tonight after dark.
It's bigger then the netbook I'm typing on.
It's replacing a cheap-ass made-in-china thing that's falling apart. (which has SSB).

It works great. At night on AM every step has something on it. I don't have a long wire on it yet, but SW is OK off the stock rod antenna. Seems well constructed, like old time stuff.
