I am new to the high freq surfing, when you post a said freq like 6697 is it Mhz of khz? And am I able to use my SW reciever to pick them up? I hav just bought a Grundig S350. -73 Dan H |

This is referenced to 6697 KHz. The KHz reference is common for Shortwave Listeners where as MHz (6.697) is used more often as a reference in the Amateur Radio community. |

The source is based on SWL publications over the decades, not a single source. I started as an avid SWL back in the early 70's The publications referencing stations were in KC's (Kilocycles) then switched over to kHz as that standard was more widely accepted. There isn't an incorrect way of stating frequency, just differing perspectives. Thanks for asking |
