railroadradio.net is a great website for real time monitoring of railroad traffic. Like our site they are self-funded and give to the community without advertising products or asking for money. Please visit their site and check it out !

Also... In case anyone in "Big Sky Country" knows of someone who is a railfan and lives in the vicinity of Helena or Missoula and would like to setup a railroad radio stream... railroadradio.net is interested in hearing from you. Contact details are on their main page.

Call 712-432-4216 for a good time. Long distance rates may apply :)

Press 1 for all the local BNSF and UP traffic in the Vancouver / Columbia River area

Press 2 and foam it up in big sky country with the MRL

It's some sort of broadcaster tool for radio stations. Might be possible to stream this from your feeds too. Good for people listening without smart phones or if there is a major incident all of the listening spots available would have filled up. http://telecurve.com

Central (Press 3):
Houston Area, TX

Eastern (Press 4):
Westslope/Sandpatch Area, PA

Eastern Canada (Press 5):
Hamilton - Ontario

Press # to stop listening to the current stream and go back to the menu.

More information on the Telecurve Listening option is available here http://www.railroadradio.net/content/view/261/309/

Greetings
Jim Groenke from www.railroadradio.net here... In response to the messages about listening to streams via an ordinary phone or non-smart cell phone, that service is provided by a Company named "Telecurve" and they provide it free of charge, unless you want to pay them to provide a 1-800 no. for your callers and then you'd be responsible for the (roughly) $.03/min 1-800 LD charges which could mount up pretty quickly. If anyone's interested I can put you in contact with the Telecurve contact I have...

Regards
Jim G.
