What's "X box" and "Spokane Sub" mean?
I hear this daily on 160.740.

X means 'check box' on an item pertaining to a movement or change for a train crews track warrant such as Check box " " to take a siding or to move only between certain control points. You usually hear them clearing a track warrant and then receiving a new one and they check off the instructions received via the dispatcher. Spokane Sub is the track territory from Spokane to Eastport.

I love it when they are reading off the boxes on the track warrant and the dispatcher is just so tired he jumps a box and the train calls them on it.

Thanks.
I receive the Meadow Creek detector, six miles south. I have four crossings (16 bonks) I hear, sometimes no bonks. Hmm.
When it's super cold I can hear the train rumbling from quite a ways.

Suggest where to set the 'search limits', I'm trying to find the 'work' freq for this UP line.
They're rebuilding to MP 139 (Eastport).

160.215-161.565 If there is a work window, they might just be using the road channel 160.740

They're on the road to get track warrants, but I'll look for the freq used with all the neat words construction guys use to illustrate their importance.

Correction: 160.320 according to the 'band plan'. Probably still WB.
