Over the years I've been asked about the DMR system inside the Barclays Center sports arena in Brooklyn. It's long been assumed to have a DMR trunked system. I finally had some time on my last event there to search and found some interesting tidbits.

First, I found a group of frequencies licensed for the Brooklyn Events Center, dba Barclays Center, WQZC420:

466.4625
466.5250
466.7000
468.3625
468.5500
468.6125
469.0875
469.5250
469.8875

I didn't hear any activity on these. Doing some snooping with the Airspy, I spotted a few active DMR peaks in the UHF band and listened to those. There is a distributed antenna system in the bowels of the building, as I could easily copy the NYPD and NYFD frequencies from the lower floors.

The active frequencies I found were DMR, but not trunked. I found 8 active DMR UHF frequencies with traffic definitely related to building operations and the event. All were using Color Code 1 and Talk Group 1. I'm still reviewing recordings to see what the actual channel and time slot use was.

451.7750
451.9125
452.0500
452.1500
452.2250
461.5625
463.5875 - CC1,TS1 = Building Security
463.7000

Oddly, I could find no license for all these for Barclays or Brooklyn Events Center. It's possible that they are licensed through a two-way service that provided the radios, but haven't found one that is common to all these frequencies.

Back at Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the first time since 2018.

Found the house RF listings for all the in house emitting devices, including the building radios. It turns out I have most of them correct in my first posting, but a couple more frequencies were listed. All are showing DMR Color Code 1 and Talk Group 1.

Here is what they are using:

451.7750
451.9125
452.0500
452.1500
452.2250
461.5625
461.7750
462.0250
463.5875
463.7000

All frequencies appear to be conventional repeaters.

All were using the same talk group of 1.
