Yup, the zip code is specifically for General Electric in Schenectady. I was in 12027 which is just 5 miles away.

I didn't know that... GE gets its own zip and its 12345 wow, they must be some huge ass plant (obviously) but that's a cool factoid. I will have to google map that.

It it is a huge ass plant; it was their world headquarters before it moved to NYC then later to Fairfield, CT. It actually contained their central mail room which sent out stuff to the other various offices in the area. I think they still do that.
