I listen to my scanner and I hear them taking "use channel 4" or " use channel 2"...

What is going on and how do I access these channels?

Location: New England and Travels
NH had a long standing channel plan for years that was (from memory)
Ch-1 Local
Ch-2 155.4750 Statewide Interop
Ch-3 County SO
Ch-4 was the North or South NHSP Interop 155.9100 or 156.0900 depending on where you are.

So what City/Town in New Hampshire are you hearing this on, more Context is needed as my assumption is you
are talking PD, but for all we know you could be asking around FD
