Has anyone tried the Abbree foldable antenna on a hand held scanner?

It's a HAM antenna Jim... yes you might pick up more distant stations but do you really need a 4ft antenna on your portable scanner?

WHACKER def. a person with a portable scanner and a 4ft "tactical" antenna (or bald persons named Wil smoking outside his vehicle also armed with portable scanner...)
