After re-banding did they do away with the state ops channels in King County? I have the updated national 8CALL90 and 8TAC91 channels but can't find anything for the old state ops. All searches are very old data.
Thanks.
Vince.

Scroll to the bottom: http://www.interceptradio.com/wiki/index.php/WA_State

Also technically they're WAOPS1-5 now...

I read that but have not heard anything on them in a long time. They appear to be in the re-banded frequencies. Are they still used? I think these may have been re-banded or abandoned. I used to receive local hits at times, but it has been a long time.

Yes they're still used. They're not repeaters so they're only simplex operations. No, they're not very active as of late.

I presumed you had this already since you mentioned them originally:

I was asking about the local (Washington) State Ops channels not the National I-call channels now called 8call90 etc... I had those, though not from the same source.
The first link you provided (from this website is out of date). It appears that after re-banding the National I Call changed from 866.0125 to 8call90 851.0125. -15Mhz. The rest followed suit.

The State Ops 1 changed from 867.5375 to 852.5375. Now called WAOPS1. Again -15Mhz. The rest followed suit. Like the standard re-banding of 800Mhz.

I briefly read the second link you provided and I could not find info for local state ops or WAOPS.
I don't think we are on the same page. If I missed something please let me know.
Vince.

I'm trying to give you a hint that StateOps are not used very much at least not in the greater Seattle area. Every once in a while they're active. You're better off monitoring VHF/UHF/700/800 interop channels... I guess it depends on what you're trying to listen to...

Addendum:

Region 43 has recently added repeater operation capability in the WA regional plan on the STATEOPS channels, . . . solely for deployable repeaters.

The Region has followed national guidelines and the naming with a ‘D’ suffix if a direct channel, and with no suffix if a repeated channel. If local agencies have space in their radio programming templates, the Region suggests that all 10 channels (5 repeat and 5 simplex) be in all radios. If channel capacity is limited, then the simplex mode could perhaps prove more useful rather than the repeated channels.

All interoperability channels shall be controlled by sub-audible tone 156.7 Hz. All interoperability repeaters shall have input and output tone of 156.7 Hz.

And yes, "WAOPS-x" is / are the proper namesake.
