My experience with this stuff is:

1) they license more than they use
2) they are accurate in emissions listed

BA 2017 Support Manual:

https://www.blueangels.navy.mil/assets/ ... manual.pdf

Interesting line from the manual:

c. Under no circumstances shall scanners be used to simulcast inter-cockpit transmissions of the
demonstration.

No idea why but SPUD21 has been circling around the Eastside for the past hour or so... at 17,000 ft. No radio traffic that I've heard.

How would they ever know?

Jim this is from their support manual regarding rules for what they're allowed to say over the PA live during the airshow.

With all this smoke I'm wondering if Blues will have to keep it as a "low show"?

Nah sounds normal so far...

Listening to them now...

142.6125 C67.0 (active) BA ground support

237.8
251.6 (COM 2)
255.2
275.35
284.25
305.9

I see the following on ADS-B:

SPUD 21 (i think he might be air boss?) (still doing circles on the Eastside)

(These are likely the Mil Exercise related off the coast of SW WA state.)

AVATAR 31
GINGER 30
BEEPER 12
BEEPER 13
BEEPER 14
BEEPER 15
DEEP C 14
E23498 (AE07B4) KC-135R (refuel tanker)

Air Boss will decide... pilots are saying... just "haze" at the moment... but skies are generally clear.

Mark the input volume is a tad high... causing slight overload.
