Maybe you've already seen this:

Looks like you will be able to buy a ProVoice and DMR upgrade for the older 996P2 and 325P2 radios.

Everyone assumed these radios wouldn't be upgradable, but it appears not to be the case.

Hmmm, it's time to tweak our database. The scanners want Site + Freq + LCN + (optional)ColorCode for programming. Our files have the color code in the "channel/LCN" field and TRBO in the NAC field... I suggest we put the color code in PL/NAC, and the LCN in Chan/LCN.

My 325P2 seems to do pretty good on DMR. The P25 patch problem still isn't fixed :(

Yeah from the limited DMR I heard on my 996P2 it sounds fine. In some cases, better than the TRX-1 and 436HP.

The x36 firmware has been released which provides NXDN support to the new Uniden scanners. Users will still need to $PAY$ for the upgrade key to unlock that feature.

Oddly enough, it appears as though Amazon is pulling the x36 line from sales, citing "safety concerns". Allegedly they've told one reseller "please submit relevant product safety testing documentation and certification from an accredited independent testing laboratory".

I continue to giggle.
