Looks like there will be no more "CenCom" in Kitsap County. They want to form a Public Development Agency and call the new group "Kitsap911". I just hope there aren't plans in mind that will hamper us loyal scanner listeners. |

Other agencies have done this and are doing so now as well. Jefferson Co. Jeffcom did so a number of years ago Clallam Co. Pencom is in the process Macecom I believe did so as well. Just to name a few. Don't look for them to suddenly change anything about the radio system that they weren't already going to do (if anything). Their system is still fairly new. I doubt the users will stop calling them Cencom anytime soon. |
