Yes but you don't have to use the 700 mhz site -- you can hear them on (3) different methods: IWN VHF, 700mhz IWN and VHF-Direct-P25.

At the moment, they're Phase 1 P25 on 700 Mhz. Don't know if that will change or not. But it's Phase 1 on IWN VHF and VHF direct.

They're actually both phase 1 and 2 on 700 MHz, depending apparently on who's affiliated at the moment. But mostly it's the tac channels that are P2, the area stuff is almost always P1.

so, there's nothing for the guy who's limited to internet repeaters?
WSP should be a statewide broadcast. And Available.

Mark wants to add WSP to his feed. Problem is he only has one P25-capable scanner, and it's his carry everywhere scanner.

Of course it should. Someone else should provide it for you, and damn the costs to the feed provider(s).

Just wait till next year when Wenatchee WSP goes narrowband analog. Then he can stream that from his home with one of his other non p-25 rigs.

That other site said streaming from this side of the mountains is possible so it must be true.

WSP is still not fully digital in Seattle:

9/8/2015 i90 and state route 900 speed enforcement:
the Plane check in on P25 2 meter trunk, both dispatch and patrol car acknowledged on P25 2meter trunk.

then the Plane and patrol car moved to 155.46 MHz Car2 (Conventional) to do the speed enforcement. This conversation was not repeated on the trunk.

Saw a cute new method this morning NB 5 JNO the Tacoma Dome: motor trooper on the SB side jersey barrier with LIDAR gun wired into an iPad (or similar tablet) that apparently measures the speed and takes video. Chase cars on the NB shoulder at Portland Ave; one was showing a stopped driver at the Puyallup River Bridge what looked like video on another tablet computer. Ain't technology grand?

I got hit by a Fife red light camera (54th st) for turning right w/o stopping and I haven't had a ticket in 25+ years so I was ready to fight it. Attached was a link to watch the video...damn, I didn't even tap the brakes! Paid it then paid some attention to my driving habits. I love technology, even when it bites me in the butt!
