As of the end of this year Motorola will officially retire the PM1200, and CDM series radios that do lowband. Anyone have any information about any future offerings I haven't come across yet? The Vertex VX5500 will do 27.5 to 37mhz and is not yet showing retirement. But anything 37-50mHz? |

The Harris Unity XG-100M will do 33-48mhz with the optional XG-100LPA, but that's some big $$$. http://harrisradio.com/products/unity-xg-100m/ http://pspc.harris.com/media/ECR-8086B_tcm42-26249.pdf |

Yea- customers around here be they gov or commercial tend to bring up the chinese stuff in order to compare pricing. Im looking at Vertex stuff at this point. Harris wouldn't even return my phone calls when I tried to get them a new prospect. Must be lonely at the top. |
