Looking to purchase a "can style" VHF/UHF antenna due to clearance issue with garage. I've looked around at the various vendors that provide these, but wanting opinions from the group on best options and where to get one. Looking to cover 138-175Mhz and 380-470Mhz if possible. Thanks in advance |

Just keep mine for the other bands; I don't need it. |

This should work if it's not too tall..? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IE8CR1A Works pretty well on the Durango. I don't recommend those stubby antennas. |

I did look at Stico, but didn't see any that were NMO mounts, only mag mount or permanent. I have a NMO mount currently and am looking for something for daily driving and then switch out with a 1/4 wave whip for road trips. |

The "can style" are good for about 1MHz wide. Terrible idea unless you're using 1 freq. Best option is a superflex quarterwave. http://www.sti-co.com/antenna-products/ ... flexi-whip Or Control makes one too...much cheaper than Sti-co. Part number escapes me... |

I went with the other antenna I linked since it was a true NMO. |
