I decoded my first NXDN: WQQK660 University of Washington's HUB. Looks like only two of the repeaters are active and I'm almost certain this isn't trunked. NXDN is quite a bit different than MotoTRBO.

Apparently the radio IDs need not be unique. Everyone had a RID of 1.

I'm guessing the RAN is equivalent to a Color Code?

Supposedly NXDN can do TDMA. However the HUB is using 6.25 KHz; can you do NXDN on 6.25 or just 12.5?

6.25 NXDN sounds so much nicer in analog than 12.5 TRBO.

I'm trying to remember from playing with the software for my NX320; I think you can set it to a RID of nothing which sends 1 just to fill the packet if that makes sense.

Kenwood's flavor, NEXEDGE you can do it on 12.5 and 6.25, but Icom's IDAS as I understand is only 6.25.

My question was supposed to read "can you do TDMA on 6.25 or just 12.5?"
The strange thing about NXDN is that it sounds different on 6.25 vs 12.5: MP3 sample

You can only do 6.25 with FDMA as I understand per whats in Part 90....

Correct. All you need is a number in there. They could all be 124586 if you wanted.

Double correct. More similar to PL where if you leave the RAN to "None" you can hear everything walking down the sidewalk that's NXDN, according to what you have the channel width set to (6.25 or 12.5).

Incorrect.

Either or. It's "Narrow" vs "Very Narrow" in the software.

Sounds a lot better in digital too than TRBO.

Is this just for non-trunked or can you also duplicate RIDs in a trunked setup?

Everything does, though I was merely trying to express my happiness that it's more or less like listening to white noise.

Non-trunked. There are several things that the radios do in a NXDN trunked system that would make a duplicated RID a nightmare.
