Near that same area two years ago I got to hear one of the better ones, a red Chevy Tahoe with a canoe tied to the roof clocked at 107. Upon stop it was found to have 3 unrestrained children in the back (no rear seats, just cargo area). After the Trooper called out onscene, he radioed for backup for a "violent physical domestic" between the intoxicated male driver and female passenger.
Just another day for the cops. Too bad there weren't any edited videos of that one, so internet cowboys could call for the firing of every District 6 Trooper and breathless media talking heads could rant about a "culture of corruption".
Oh wait, I see the difference now. These were ordinary Joe Sixpack and Mrs. Sixpack types, for whom the rules need not apply, instead of those dastardly cops OMFG speeding!
But hey, who cares? As I said to another Intercept member via text, no matter what you choose to do or not do in life, someone will always criticize you for it...The 16-year-old manager at McDonalds will be verbally attacked by the 14-year-old meth head who works at Taco Bell because he makes less.
Where in the hell was I going with this post??
