Yeah thanks Jim. Be careful about the above item though as it's the non-standard 420-520 Mhz range.

They're starting to show up all over now in small quantities. The best deals are on E-Bay and you can get the USB cable thrown in for free.

Only downside is you have to wait 2 weeks to get it. :)

Jim it arrived safe and sound. It was much quicker than expected. Everything is great and works well. The radio is quite a bit easier to use than their older models. Transmits and receives OK. The speaker audio is pretty potent and will distort if cranked up too high. WSP Seattle sounds fine though. Ham repeaters all sound good too.

The radio is much smaller than I thought. I believe it's actually thinner and slightly less bulky than the previous models.

Yep it has a ton of features. The new menu system is much more simplified and easy to use. You can figure most stuff out without the manual which is a good sign.
