170.15 is a shared frequency by the Federal Government, Fire Departments - only within 150 miles of New York City and else where -- Radio and TV stations - for use as Remote Broadcast Pickup -- to relay news and programming back to the broadcast stations. Skagit County has applied to use this frequency for low powered portables. Is it possible to share this frequency with radio stations in the puget sound area already using this channel ??? Maybe a few radio or TV stations in Seattle could share the use of 153.77 or 153.83 ?? |

Thanks for the info Jim. I wonder if the CBC will like having some Skagit County Fire portables on one of their channels ?? I think NOT. |
