I am just before pulling the trigger on a rather nice digital HT that is MotoTurbo compatible. They have 1 VHF range and 2 UHF ranges. Since I don't know what frequency range will be most popular, I may send out an email to take pre-orders for the range of your choice. The radios can be delivered within two weeks of placing the order. Since everyone will be a beta tester, I'll make very special price on them. So stay tuned.

Here is a cheap MotoTrbo/DMR. From what I have been hearing, they work just as well as the Motorola’s. It’s good for someone who wants to get in TRBO without paying Motorola prices. I guess the same company is coming out with an DMR mobile soon. Details below:

" If you buy it directly from Connect Systems the price is $180 for the radio which includes the charger, power supply, antenna, battery, and user manual. The Programming cable cost $5 and the PC software is on the website for free. To protect our commercial dealers, we will sell a maximum of two radios per ham license. The list price is $100 more.

To get one or two radios, e-mail the following to jerry@connectsystems.com

Shipping Address
Telephone Number (to get credit card information)

Or call us at (805) 642-7184 x 0 and ask for me.

We've got a pair of their CS3000 portables. Cheap in price but they work like a charm on our UHF LTR system.

They appear to be another private label of Hytera.
