I've noticed diminishing reception/performance with my 396 from a certain state owned VHF system. Symptoms are: Scan not stopping on 'Digital Only audio'. Scan stops on 'All' audio, but just the motorboat being heard. NAC setting is correct. Line of sight. Using FreeScan I noticed a 'threshold' setting 1-63. It is unclear (to me) what this setting does. My question: Has anyone adjusted/ experimented with this? Please share results and/or other suggestions. Thank you and: :chaingun: |

You talking about the 396XT Outlaw? If so, what firmware you using? The latest firmware (released earlier this year) fixed issues with P25 systems. |

I would try backing up your scanner with FreeSCAN and then doing a factory reset. Reload your data and see if you still have the same issues. |

I believe the issue has been answered. The system switched to an alternate site whilst I was out of town. Therefor, poor signal & missing data. Thanks for the replies and: :chaingun: |
