The city of Fife holds KTS-776 that has 14 High Band and 45.64 B/M (PWD). What are they all for ?? Common 153.89, 155.01, 155.37, 156.09. What are they doing with: 155.49 B+M simplex, 155.6775 (R/M) {1717 South 3rd - Tacoma}, 155.4375 (R/M) {located at Eatonville PD Station}, 158.8275 R {580 Prospect St west - Eatonville} 159.1125 R/M {9737 18th Court East - Edgewood} and 159.1575 (R./M) from 5913 6th St NE in Tacoma ?? 5 Repeaters -- but only 4 input freqs ( 158.88, 153.7925, 153.9875, and 154.0325) What gives ? Can anyone in Fife count ?? |

Can anyone in Fife count ?? 153.890- Pierce County fire dispatch (though Fife fire is through Tacoma and their 800 MHz system. 155.010- you should know this one...Pierce County "Small Towns" common channel. 155.370- Even Tim knows this one. LERN. 156.090- Pierce County Sheriff data channel. 155.490- It's in the forums. They call it "voted"; it's a backup to the simulcast system. 155.6775- Fife PD primary, simulcast with below 155.4375- No idea, but I'm assuming Eatonville PD back channel (Fife dispatches for them) 158.8275- Eatonville PD primary (see note re: Fife dispatching) 159.1125- Milton PD primary (Fife dispatches for them too) 159.1575- No idea again. The inputs are to the various parts of the simulcast. As I understand it, each town (Fife, Milton, Eatonville and soon Normandy Park) are supposed to have their own repeated dispatch channel, but do to budgeting for dispatcher positions, they simulcast them all, though they're actually using those repeaters. I don't know what inputs go with which repeaters; I've never been motivated enough to figure it out. As for that single low band freq, I have no idea. Some of the Fife public works vehicles used to have low band antennas on them, but I've never heard word one on it. What's California using nowadays? |

What's California using nowadays? My guess is that the lowband is emergency management to work alongside Cemnet. CHP uses the entire 42mhz (with the exception of the couple of 15k ERP channels Missouri uses) and allot of the 39mhz band. |

Thank you all. I was aware of the common channels. (ie 153.89, 155.01, 156.09 and 155.37). I was not aware that Fife is now a major regional PSAP - of such magnatude. 45.64 was indeed - at one time the City PWD. I still remember when 155.01 was a new channel for Fife, Milton, Eatonville and a few other local Depts. Normandy Park was still on low band. As for the CHP -- they now use EVERY 42 mhz frequency - from 42.02 to 42.94 - some where in the state. They have added both 39 Mhz, 44 Mhz and 45 Mhz frequencies to the system as well. |

155.490 used to be Fife PD's dispatch channel before they went to the repeatered system. None of these licenses will matter too much in the near future, as Fife will be joining South Sound 911. |
