Early Friday morning while at work, my friend who lives on a boat up near Salt Spring Island in BC messaged me saying he was hearing USCG Seattle talking to HMCS Victoria, a Canadian Navy sub based at CFB Esquimalt which is next to Victoria on Vancouver Island.

I was wondering if anyone else had heard this...I know I have heard US Navy and Cansdian Navy ships on the working channels before on the strait just doing training together but not on 16.

What do you expect from people who spell it:
"Defence"?
