When programming my PRO-106 with WIN 500 is it best to set the modulation to "AUTO" or set it to the known modulation for that freq.? Just wondering if it is necessary to change all the 150 to 512 stuff to "NFM" or will "AUTO" work? |

Best to leave everything as "Auto" unless you have a splinter frequency entered and you want to slave it as NFM (comment mainly for VHF splinter frequencies). You may also want to slave some standard FM frequencies to NFM if you are experiencing bleed-over from an adjacent splinter frequency. Example: you are listening to a frequency of 155.130 but you are experiencing bleed-over from either 155.1225 or 155.1375 that you can't eliminate with either PL or PL reject. Setting the listening channel to NFM might help. |
