hi All I got a Question What is the Best Portable antenna for a Pro 164. The Stock antenna I got for my 164 Picks up Local Stuff where when I had my Pro96 I was Able to reach wenatchee National forest (I Live in Moses Lake) Central Wash. :beer: 90* Degrees today |

IMHO, this is the best portable antenna. I'm presuming your 164 uses a BNC mount: https://www.scannermaster.com/W_801_Reg ... 541172.htm They also have a SMA version as well. They also make a Super Gainer version which is a bit longer: https://www.scannermaster.com/W_881_Sup ... 541173.htm I have one on my 396XT and one on my PSR-800 and they work amazingly well for a standard whip. Very good on 700Mhz too. |
