I'm looking for a scanner that will log frequencies and audio files all day long and I can come back to it and listen to every audio file, and it will tell me time/date/freq and maybe even how often and signal strength

I'm looking into these sorts of radios:
IWxLIVET by Invisible Waves X
WR-G33WSM by Winradio
WR-G315e by Winradio

any suggestions?

I use ID Tracker 3 with my PSR-500. It does all you mentioned, and it was free.

I'm looking for something which I can can just enter 400Mhz-698MHz <click> and come back the next day and it will out put a list or graph of frequencies, their associated sound files (click to play) and the time and date when it was recorded.

I know for enough money, this is possible. I just wanna buy the right one the 1st time.

I have a program which does that, have used it for over 10 years. Not sure if there any commercial products with that capability but I've heard Win500 might be able to do it.

ProScan ($50) does that for most current Uniden models. I believe the Uniden HP-1 with the Extreme upgrade will do that as a hardware based radio.

The Butel software does this with the newer Uniden scanners.
