Tim, thanks for taking the lead in posting this- I have been remiss in my duties. ALCON- There are a few things to keep in mind if attending this meeting: 1- PSE, who runs the wind farm, requires your signature on a release form prior to the meeting and included tour. While I'm sure these will be available at the site, I have and can email copies for you to peruse prior to the event. PM me for further info. 2- Please also keep in mind this is a private entity's facility, and, as such, they have rules that need to be followed. Listed in the quote below are these rules. They're common sense-based, IMHO. PSE wrote: -Liability forms must be signed prior to participating in the tour.
-Wear closed-toed sturdy shoes and long pants. -Jackets or coats are recommended. The temperature and wind make the site much cooler than may be expected. -Hard hats are required and will be provided for site visitors. -A site safety review will be provided by Puget Sound Energy prior to the tour. -Visitors with pacemakers are prohibited from entering turbine towers because magnets are present. -Cameras are encouraged. -If the weather is extremely wet or icy the site tour will be rescheduled; however, a “Picture Tour” in a slideshow format will be offered as an alternative to the “Site Tour.” -If you are driving your own vehicle in the project area with a Puget Sound Energy escort, please note that the access road speed limit is 20 mph. |
