RadioShack® USB-PC Interface Cable for GRE Scanner. #20-546

It replaced the 20-047 cable.

If so how well does it work and is the driver up to date?

Pic didn't come through, (browser sux on this co owned pc) but mine is orange.

I think I had to hunt down the driver.
That is what I use to program my Rat Shack version of the GRE.

I have 2 of the orange 20-047 cables that work well.

They are now discontinued and being blown out for $19.97.

Just was wondering if anyone has picked up the replacement 20-546 cable yet and if so how it works or does not work ?

I see on the RS internet site that a few stores now have them in stock.

I have three or four of the USB cables not the new one that Jim is talking about and I have a RS232 cable for the older PC to, I have a old laptop running WIN98 that can use the RS232 to program my PRO-2051 with useing scancat lite I hate that program and have not used it for years it works for everything but not well on everything it has a lot of bugs in it, and would have to find the disk that I put it on

I know this is necroposting, but I picked up the RS 20-546 cable today to replace my stock GRE cable (PSR500-computer) and it works quite well. I didn't expect it to, so I'm happy.

What was wrong with the GRE? Does this do anything harder, better, faster, or stronger?

Bigger, faster, better, more!

I had to get it since my stock GRE cable took a dump on me. Winding the cable around the module apparently wrecks the coax inside Image
