I thought it might be nice to list the contractors that fire agencies contract with on the county pages, i.e. under Seattle Fire it'd list AMR with a reference to the freq in the database. And for FDs that use multiple contractors, maybe a list of priority? Thoughts? |

Problem is I don't know any of the cities except Seattle, they only use AMR--154.22 (103.5) simplex. |

I don't have the frequencies but a little information: Valley Regional Fire Authority (Auburn, Algona and Pacific) have a signed contract with AMR. As I understand it Kent is a divided city. Depending on the geographic location either AMR or Tri-Med will be dispatched. I don't know if Sea-Tac has a contract but I did hear of a Tri-Med responding to one of their incidents. I was speaking to a Rural Metro supervisor at Valley General resently. He stated they have started being dispatched by Valley Comm to incidents in the Renton area. I haven't heard Rural Metro referenced, in a dispatch/responding mode on Valley Comm at all. Wayne |

OK so my latest idea is to have a section for private ambulances. List 'em all there, then reference as needed for each FD. Only problem is that the King County page is just over a mile long right now. Right now I find it difficult to jump directly to one FD without resorting to "find on this page" (AKA ctrl + F). Sure I can use anchor tags to make links that jump to sections, but if you're skimming through the page (especially on a mobile device) it's really really long. I kinda want to move this over to the wiki but want to keep it consistent with other counties. The Wiki is great because MediaWiki provides easy syntax and autonumbers sections. However I can't embed the database in it (well I could but it wouldn't update when the database is updated). |

The county pages will be headed to the wiki in the near future. We can post database links instead of embedded queries. I would like to avoid posting static frequencies in the wiki. |

I've got some experience here, so I can help a bit... Tri-Med has all of the city of Kent. The AMR contract with Kent has ended. It's ALL Tri-Med. There are 4 tri-med rigs in Kent, and Tri-Med responds RED to all calls there unless otherwise instructed. Renton. When Renton is not staffing aid units, Tri-Med transports. Bellevue. Tri-Med is on the rotation with AMR. RED response to Bellevue calls. Tukwila, Burien, North Highline, Skyway, SeaTac... all Tri-Med. Tri-Med is dispatched to any aid call with Skyway and NHL. District #44 uses AMR or Tri-Med depending on who is available. The Port (SeaTac airport) uses Tri-Med. And yes, it's all Nextel and MDC dispatching for Tri-Med. Nothing to hear on the scanner. Rural/Metro doesn't do any fire calls in South King. They do only IFT unless there are NO other rigs available. Auburn and Federal Way/Des Moines are still AMR. |

Atomic Taco wrote: IFT? Sorry. IFT=Interfacility Transport. It's the mundane BLS transports like dialysis runs, doctor's appointments and hospital to nursing homes. The IFT stuff is the bread and butter of any private ambulance company. |
